All right. Welcome to Defense Diaries.

I'm your host, Bob Mata, and this is our continuing coverage of State of Indiana versus Richard M. Allen.

This is day 16, and it was another just action-packed day in court. I had a, I had a relatively long day.

It's, I'm kind of in that cycle now where it's, you know, wash, rents, repeat, wash,

rent, repeat. Let me just give you an example. So I've been here so long that when I put my

phone on to hook my directions, my driving directions on, it's now calling my work the Carroll County

courthouse. That's popping up as my job, my place of work. That's how long I've been here.

And it's been quite an experience. I've told a bunch of people that, you know, sit around me and I talk to

daily, other other creators, friends of mine. You know, I've tried a lot of cases and I did it for a long time.

And this is the first time I've ever sat on this side of the bar, on the gallery side of it, and observed a full trial.

And it's an interesting experience.

I enjoy it.

I enjoy it a lot. It's different. It's really hard when you're kind of sitting there and you hear objections and you know, you're thinking in your head, well, this is what I would rebut that objection with. This would be the answer that I would give in response to the state's objection. And, you know, and it's, it's kind of hard to, like, not write a note and try to pass it.

And it's to be like, hey, this is your argument here.

This is what you should be doing.

But it's been a really fascinating experience to sit on the other side of it and just kind of

watch it unfold.

So I know that my better half, who I hope is going to be joining me at some point,

she might be tied up doing this or that, taking care of everything else in our lives while

I'm out here taking care of this.

And she's taking care of this too.

She's doing all the duties.
