tweetable DNC which is in itself a kind of form follows function argument to be

reflected upon there in this there are signs for those who reflect that the Twitter age, the digital age has

produced somehow almost inexorably by its own logic a dncency which is made out of the signs and symbols of sort of digital media.

It's got this kind of these weird clips of aging people trying to sound like they know where they are or what time it is or who they're talking to.

Michelle Obama gave a highly canned speech that was delivered remotely via Zoom as all such speeches were or if it wasn't

Zoom it was some kind of remote video software.

Many kind of subcommittees are being held in the same format roughly as Zoom, which is to say with

little squares, people kind of sequestered off in their little squares, saying truly insane things.

I mean the one that was kind of clipped this just today most recently was the

LGBTQ caucus in which it was insisted that we defund the police that we we abolish ice, that we do all these things.

Idea is almost as bad for gay people as they are for the black people that they are

ostensibly supposed to protect and for the people in this country who are notionally under the kind of purview of the Democratic
