It's going well, and by the way, have you ever heard of this British expression hard cheese?

If someone says, you know, I don't want to move the barbells up to the edgore, I don't want liverwares for lunch you're supposed to say well heart cheese which is I guess the British equivalent of tough luck

tough cookies yeah well it's expressions like this and things like Bob's your uncle, which by the way, that's the British equivalent of there it is.

Yeah, there you go, yeah.

Voila, yeah.

It seems to me that the Brits say things like this to keep Americans from annoying them in pubs.

You're conversing with someone who says,

Pard cheese and Bob's your uncle and you're sitting and thinking,

I know these words.

Yes. You're momentarily stunned and then they go away.

It's... No, that's it exactly.

It's like an escape tactic, like squidding.

That's it exactly.

And the sad thing is, confused Americans then go back to their hotel where they get served
