Welcome back to another edition of the Disney dish podcast with Jim Hill. It's me, Len Testa,

and this is our show for the week of Schmer's Day, June 6, 2022. On the show today,

news, listener questions, then in our main segment segment Jim tells us about the last time

the Walt Disney World Railroad went through an extensive refurbishment and why.

Let's get started by bringing in the man whose grandfather died doing what he loved, saying,

cars have to stop for pedestrians, you know, before stepping into the crosswalk.

It's Mr. Jim, how's it going?

Oh, this brings back memories of March of 2004 Len.

I was in Philadelphia for Disney's annual meeting.

This was the year that Roy Disney and Stanley Gold were trying to oust Isner

with their saved Disney thing and the annual

meetings being held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Art Street and whereas Roy and

Stanley they're doing a Save Disney rally across the street at the Lowe's Hotel so I'm supposed to

be doing the sit down with Brian Stanley and I'm running late not looking what I'm doing so

I step out onto Art Street and feel a city bus whiz by a quarter of an inch away from my cheek.

I mean I literally I just turn my eye and I can feel my eyelashes being brushed by the raised chrome on the bus and it's like

Seriously if I've been moving a little bit faster or head and stopped as quickly I'd be dead now

Yeah if you had one more one more spoonful of wheaties that morning,

Jay, we would have been over for you.

We're happy to have had the decaf that morning.

Did you happen to get a look at the driver and, uh,

and was it Michael Eisner?
