Let's get started by bringing in the man who reminds you that today,

you can walk into a store and buy a birthday cake just for yourself,

because nobody checks. It's Mr. Jim Hill.

Jim, how's it going?

It's going well. By the way, Lent, this past weekend,

my very sweet sister-in-law, Kathy, held a belated birthday party for me.

Well, Kathy asked me what my favorite cake was because she wanted to make it for the Sunday's party,

and I said, Boston Cream Pie, which is actually cake that was invented by the culinary staff

of the Parker House hotel in Boston back in 1856.

Wait, the Parker House of the famous Parker House rolls?

There we go. What?

By the way, it has since been declared the official state dessert of Massachusetts,

beating out the chocolate chip cookie, and the Fig Newton.

It's a huge pan in the ass to make and then serve, because the top layer always slides off

of the middle layer of custard. Exactly.

But a little slice ahead of your mouth will worth the type two diabetes you immediately get

after eating yourself. You're shooting yourself up as you're eating the cake.
