Hello listeners, this episode is going to take us to Hogsback Lake, a sort of natural recreation

area southeast of Vanderhoof, British Columbia. Although the area is known by locals is an

ideal spot for camping and fishing, it's also become known far and wide as the setting

for one of Canada's most often discussed missing persons cases.

On May 28th of 2011, then 20-year-old Maddie Scott attended an annual party at Hogsback Lake.

Maddie and her friend Jordy originally intended to camp out and spend the night there together,

but some unexpected party attendees in a bit too much alcohol would leave Maddie being

left behind to camp alone. The next morning, the only thing found at the lake was Maddie's

truck and an empty tent. Over the past 12 years, the search for Maddie would receive

international attention and a ravenous online following despite very little in the way

of clues or developments, but that all changed just last week and dramatically so. In this

episode, we're going to get into all of it. Tonight I'm going to be joined by Madeline

Klein to discuss the disappearance and the death of Maddie Scott.

Scott disappeared on May 28th, 2011 at a camping party south of Vanderhoof, although her tent

and truck were found at the campsite, her keys and her phone have never been located,

and she apparently vanished without a trace. Scott's grieving family has posted a reward

of up to $100,000 for information about her disappearance.

The opportunities that are presented as time goes on is there may be an individual with
