inside the birds.com. And today we're going to talk a little bit about players who I believe are

primed to take a leap forward

next season and a lot of them for different reasons but we'll get into it right now running back

will Shipley is the first player that I'm going to mention here and will as you probably all know

I've got a chance to talk to quite a bit over the past couple years and watching him play, at least in training

camp, I know that he has ability.

But when he's been thrust into opportunities in the games over the past couple years,

to me, it just doesn't seem like that running style, that inside zone type of running style,

where you have to be more of a physical type of runner to withstand contact and things like that

really played to his strengths, whereas I think that he could greatly benefit if he's given

the opportunity with the presumed new run designs, the outside zone type of thing,

stretch plays, where you're more, it's more focused in terms of patience.

You let blocks develop, and I think a lot of running backs of Will's mold have thrived in that type of run

style.

And so to me, I think that that might give him the best opportunity to do so.

And also with the new offensive coordinator and Sean Manion, he may like what Will

brings to the table from a pass receiving standpoint where that's been largely absent for the offense.

I think even Jeff has talked about this in training camp.

Shipley last summer caught a plethora of passes from Jalen Hertz in the flat, caught a number of wheel routes and was beating linebackers,
