The bye week started today, Monday, but I am going to continue to put out a handful of podcasts this week.

And I guess we'll start with the news from Monday where the Eagles announced they've released cornerback Perry Nickerson from the active roster.

He is not subjected to waivers.

He's a vested veteran.

And also released is defensive end Titus Leo from the practice squad.

So that seems to be a corresponding move to get Perry Nickerson back on the practice squad.

So let's think about this for a second.

Perry Nickerson appeared in five games

for the Eagles, 12 snaps on defense, 60 on special teams, made a nice play late in the Tampa Bay

Buccaneers game. But the Eagles have some decisions to make here at the back end of the roster

because you have to think in the coming week or weeks you'll have no one smith

jocori and bennett and brandon graham that need to be activated and placed on the active roster so

places are going to slots are going to be at a premium here so the way that i look at it is parry

nickerson is sort of a casualty, if you will,

due to the cornerback room getting healthy. And they're going to get a Dory Jackson back from

the concussion that he's sustained. They're going to get Jacori and Bennett back. And they're going to be a little bit more at full

strength. Mack McWilliams hasn't played a ton but he's a rookie fifth round pick or they're going to

want to keep developing so he's going to be stashed and be a part of that group but I'm curious to

see which direction the Eagles go with the other two spots to create room for Nolan Smith and
