last few weeks about HBO's The Deuce specifically season to episode 3

7.50 which is apparently the price of a 14 year old hand job in New York City in

1977 yeah is that a good or bad rate I don know, I've never had a 14 year old hand job

in New York City.

I, man, there is a lot of, what's so funny about this,

is there's so much like fucked up stuff

going on in the background that the show doesn't even comment on?

You know, like the fact that like, uh, uh, black Frankie, I think got an underage hand job from some poor girl.

Yeah, and she got a 50-cent tip for it for the work.

Like, it reminds me a lot of like, you know, Madman, like Don Draper, throwing a beer can into the park river and and Mrs Draper just just shaking all of the picnic trash into the forest like like holy shit you can't do that just not, but this is like the same thing only on a much larger, more horrific scale.

What do you think of this episode, Jim?

I like this episode, like I have liked the previous two.

It just, this kind of storytelling is really engaging even when there's nothing crazy

going on, you know, like things are starting to ratchet up.

The tensions between the two different factions of the mob here

are starting to come to a head, but you know nothing too crazy is happening. There's a fire in the background.

There's an award show. There's you know Frankie winning a laundromat, essentially, a laundry service.

None of this in itself is like that exciting, but everything just feels so natural.

It doesn't feel like a scripted show.
