Summary
In today’s podcast, we’re going to look at the desire we all share for wonder. We serve an absolutely fascinating God – a God who has created a whole world to marvel us. May we set our eyes on him today by the power of the Holy Spirit, that our desire for wonder would be satisfied in relationship with our powerful and good God.
Our Scripture for today comes from Romans 1:22-23, and today's worship is So Will I (100 Billion X) by Hillsong Worship.

| 0:12.3 | As we fix our eyes on Jesus today, may we see the very fundamental desire fully satisfied in him. |

| 0:22.1 | Let's dive right in. |
| 0:36.6 | Our scripture for today comes from Romans 1, verses 22 through 23, which says, |
| 0:43.5 | claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God |
| 0:49.3 | for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. |
| 0:57.0 | All of humanity is marked by an insatiable desire for wonder. |
| 1:03.0 | We long for that which is unexplainable, intensely interesting, and unfathomable. |
| 1:09.0 | But too often we settle for being temporarily fascinated by the things |
| 1:13.6 | of the world. We look at concepts, cultures, and man-made creations and wonder, and that which is meant to lead us to the one who is most wonderful, our heavenly father. You and I were created to marvel at the invisible nature and miraculous supernatural works of God. |
| 1:33.3 | We were created to know personally the God who created a universe so vast that its enormity is beyond measure. |
| 1:42.3 | We're created to experience communion with a God who's created that which is so |
| 1:47.2 | minuscule even our largest microscopes can't capture it. We serve a God of wonder who alone can |
| 1:54.3 | satisfy our insatiable desires for fascination. But somewhere along the way we've chosen as a people to seek to wonder in the world over God. |
| 2:06.6 | In Romans 1, 22 through 23, gives us insight into this destructive pursuit. |
| 2:12.6 | To read it again, Scripture says that early on in human history, humans claiming to be wise |
| 2:18.4 | became fools and exchanged the glory of the immoral God for images resembling mortal man and |
| 2:25.0 | birds and animals and creeping things. Sin turned our gaze from God to His creation. |
| 2:32.9 | We exchanged that which would wholly fascinate us for all of eternity, for idols that were never designed to satisfy us at all. |

| 2:48.0 | We lift up men and women instead of looking to the King of Kings. We spend hours |
