In the 17th chapter, we come to the death of the Northern Kingdom, the nation of Israel. In the 12th year when Ahaz was the king in

Judah, that's the king of the southern kingdom, Hoshiya began to reign in Samaria over Israel. He reigned for nine years.

He did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
