Summary

So how real is reality TV? In the new Vice docuseries “Dark Side of the 2000s,” two members of the production staff and a contestant from “The Bachelor” are spilling all the behind-the-scenes tea. They’re fessing up about the extreme lengths show producers go to, to score reality gold, which includes psychologically manipulating contestants and plying them with alcohol. This exposé shows the reality franchise in a whole different light…or is it a whole new darkness?
