Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that established

So you're a journalist who's been reporting on abortion in America for a number of years now.

what was your initial reaction to that news as it broke? Again, kind of coming from your perspective

I definitely when I heard about the leaked draft opinion in May, I was pretty surprised.

I wasn't expecting a full overturn of Roe v. Wade.

I was trying to stay a little tempered and what I was expecting.
