Hello, really welcome to the Red Men TV. My name is Dan Club, as you already kind of know,

and delighted to be joined by Amos and Sam from the Dan Kay Foundation. Gentlemen, first and foremost,

how are you, Kay? Yeah, good, thank you and thanks very much for inviting us on today.

Oh, absolutely my pleasure. The place to start, of course, is the foundation itself.

For those listening, watching, who aren't aware of the foundation and the work that

did does and why it came about in the first place, actually, Amos, if you don't mind shedding

some light onto all of that for us.

Yeah, sure.

I suppose why it came around in the first place was obviously Dan's memory.

Dan left a huge hole when he left unexpectedly.

And a lot of people were drawn together in that grief.

We had a charity football game that was organised by Sam and James, echo colleagues of Dan, was was organized and while that was taking place,

in fact, afterwards at the pub, a few of us got talking and we ended up signing up for the

Liverpool Half Marathon. And then, so quite a few of us, I think there was about six,

six of us did it, wasn't it, in the end? And then after, in fact, while I was training for that, someone got in touch, one of Dan's friends

who works for the London Marathon got in touch and said, we've got a friends and family place,

would you like to do it?

So again, I mean, we were raising money for a charity, Tough to Talk, which was a men's

suicide prevention mental health charity. I couldn't say no really. So I ended up signing up for

that with eight weeks to go, which was a bit stupid in hindsight. News are still suffering

to this day, to be honest. But we did it. We raised a lot of money um and the the fundraising continued

and sam had some brilliant fundraising ideas that we carried on with and then it got to about the
