I'm your host, Greg Sergeant. Later this week, Donald Trump will host Hungarian leader Victor Orban at his Maralago resort.

This comes as it remains in doubt whether the US Congress will pass badly needed

military aid to Ukraine amid signs that Vladimir Putin and Russia are

making new gains in the war.

All these developments are related and not in a good way.

Trump's romance with Orbban and the opposition of Maga Republicans to helping Ukraine

are part of the same story in which the American right is increasingly besotted with Putin and other assorted dictators,

including Orban and, of course, would be dictator for a day, Donald Trump.
