Greg Sergeant. Next week Democrats will gather in Chicago for their nominating convention.

Because Kamala Harris's campaign is under a month old,

Democrats see the convention as a unique opening to do more than usual to define their nominee in the minds of swing voters.

But there may be also an unappreciated opportunity here to damage Trump.

A successful convention will r damage Trump. A successful convention will

rattle Trump very deeply and the big dynamic in this race has been that when

Trump fears he's losing he does himself tremendous additional harm.
