Summary

If you’re a fan of robots, AI, Asimov-ian scifi, this might be the movie for you. Following on the all-too-relevant theme of AI, The Creator tells the story of a future where a large part of the world has embraced augmented humans, and the other hates it. It’s visually arresting and sometimes tonally unbalanced, but it will leave you with plenty to think about. And it was a struggle to get into the theater, so thank Jim and A.Ron for braving the difficulties. Next First Run Bald Movie is Killers of the Flower Moon! Hey there! interesting guide.

A lot of cool interesting work.

0:51.8

What do you think of the creator? I think I mostly like it. It has a vision, for sure.

0:58.8

Visually, it feels very like Blom Camp, you know, Blom Camp visually, I think, with a little bit of, you know, like,

1:10.0

who's the guy who did? Ex-Machina.

1:14.0

Alex Garland, thank you.

1:20.0

1:25.0

I think top to bottom.

1:27.0

I'm not so sure about like the premise,

1:30.0

and I think I would need to see it a second time to really get everything it's going for because there's there are a lot of thematic elements that it's it's touching the edges of and I don't think I picked them all up on first viewing.

1:47.6

Yeah, for sure. I mean the name itself, the creator, feels like this huge thematic thing that they're doing with like heaven and

1:58.6

Valhalla and robots and humans and who gets in and who doesn't and just like a lot of stuff around that and that's

2:07.6

kind of ancillary to the core plot but it's all weaved in there pretty tightly I think.

2:15.9

Yeah there's some stuff that it feels almost allegorical because I found that there's

2:21.1

like you I liked a lot of things about this movie
