Hello everybody back with a fresh first run bald movie feels like it's been a while

Jim and I went to go see the creator tonight the science fiction thriller directed by Gareth Edwards. He did the 2014 reboot of Godzilla and he was responsible

for 75% of Rogue One.

I have a lot of thoughts.

I have a lot of thoughts about our movie going experience tonight. I have a lot of thoughts about the movie.

We've been excited to see this one for some time. It looked amazing. It's got

interesting pedigree, great stars led by John David Washington, who I think is a really cool

interesting guide.

A lot of cool interesting work.

What do you think of the creator? I think I mostly like it. It has a vision, for sure.

Visually, it feels very like Blom Camp, you know, Blom Camp visually, I think, with a little bit of, you know, like,

who's the guy who did? Ex-Machina.

Thank you. Yeah, it's got a lot of those visual elements and it looks amazing.

I think top to bottom.

I'm not so sure about like the premise,

and I think I would need to see it a second time to really get everything it's going for because there's there are a lot of thematic elements that it's it's touching the edges of and I don't think I picked them all up on first viewing.

Yeah, for sure. I mean the name itself, the creator, feels like this huge thematic thing that they're doing with like heaven and

Valhalla and robots and humans and who gets in and who doesn't and just like a lot of stuff around that and that's

kind of ancillary to the core plot but it's all weaved in there pretty tightly I think.

Yeah there's some stuff that it feels almost allegorical because I found that there's

like you I liked a lot of things about this movie
