I do have an update on one of the mock drafts that I had referenced because I mentioned that Dane Bruegler, the athletic head, last mocked David Bailey

to Washington. He just put out his last mock, and he's got Carnell Tate to Washington.

So that would take the list of eight down to seven players, but David Bailey is really the hard one

to mock.

I think everybody else mock to Washington makes some level of sense.

I have no idea what they're thinking internally.

I take the Adam Peters comment postseason about having to improve the defense, which would help the offense as much

as adding help to the offense. And I do believe that to be true. They're so bad defensively

that I wonder if there is a lean towards a defensive player. But I also take him at his word,

and I do, that they're going to take the best player available, that whoever is the highest

player on their board, that should be the modus operandi anyway. But they certainly, with their

activity and free agency, adding more new players than any

team in the league, and spending top three overall money on free agents, they have put themselves

in a much better position to take the best player available. And because they have so many needs,

really the only two needs, which are not needs,

the only two non-needs are quarterback and left tackle.

That's it.

I mean, every other position is a need, including Edge, where they added multiple players

in free agency, including running back, where they added two to a room that had Bill Kroski

Merritt. Certainly, it includes wide receiver corner, no doubt. Safety, even though they added

one in free agency, to a room that they kind of like, is still a possibility. They have needs everywhere except for quarterback and left tackle.
