So yesterday on the show, I had Cole Kublich, who calls games for the SEC network.

0:06.4

Occasionally, you'll hear him calling games on ESPN.

0:09.4

He hosts a radio show in Birmingham with Greg McElroy, who does a great job as a game analyst himself.

And Cole's really good on college football, always always has been and is very good on the draft.

0:22.9

He played center in college at Auburn. And we have him on sometimes during the college

0:27.9

football season and we've had him on the last several years before the draft because he's really good

0:32.7

at breaking down the draft. And we went through all of these different, you know, players and positions.

0:38.8

And then he just interjected something about the center position that I was not planning on

0:47.0

asking about centers, even though there is a center need. I think we all believe that our

0:51.8

team has a center need. But this was how the conversation

0:56.4

sort of started with him. And then you'll hear him at the very end of this talk about one player

1:03.4

specifically that would be a great fit for maybe a team like Washington. And none of them are probably

1:10.1

going to get taken in the first two rounds, first, I don't know, 60, 70 picks. Because you can nitpick them all, and everybody's going to look at Jake Slaughter and say, okay, cool, we'll go get Parker Breltsford later. Or we're going to get Logan Jones later. Like, there's, there's so many to choose from that are not that dissimilar from one another it's going to push them all back a little bit it was not like a Dermani dalson in there compared to everybody else so i think you're going to be able to wait and get a great center but we're talking about five to seven starting centers in the NFL in this class there's not a lot other positions like that in this draft so when run starts, it's going to be a heavy run, and then they're going to run out.

1:47.6

It's why everybody else is going to take those positions quickly.

1:50.7

Parker Brailsford is a little bit undersized.

1:53.6

If you are in a West Coast-ish offense, if you're running outside zone, if you've got a lot of good quick game that's

2:02.3

happening, he's someone who has an elite skill set inside. Now, he's going to be playing

2:07.2

it, you know, right at 300, maybe 295-ish. So if you're a team that's running a lot of inside

2:13.5

zone duo, he might not be your guy. But if he's a guy that you want out on the perimeter

2:17.5

and you need him moving, you need him pulling a little bit,

2:19.9

and you need him working different spots in pass pro,

2:22.8

I think he's elite.
