You're going to be. Hey, welcome to On the Bench. This is Brennan Sonone and I have a I'm flying solo today because I have a different type of episode for you guys. I know you've enjoyed some of the interview series in the past that either Josh or myself have done and this is going to kind of fall in line

line with that I know we do them every every now and then and and this is a really

cool guess that we're going to have on on the bench today someone who knows Mike Norvel at a

who's basically known Mike Norvel for

nearly the entirety of his coaching career

and has kind of seen him develop from from an up-and-comer to someone who ends up becoming the head coach at Memphis and now Florida State and that guest is Todd Graham.

For those of you who don't know what Coach

Todd Graham is and I assume most of you do because because of his history

as a head coach and his coaching tree which I'll get into in a minute. Todd Graham

has coached at Rice he was the head coach there for a season and he was at Tulsa.

That's where him and Mike Norvell first got together after Tulsa. He was at Pitt for a year and then at Pitt.

After Pitt he ended up being the coach at Arizona State for a while and that's where Mike Norville became an offensive coordinator. Mike Norville worked for Coach Todd Graham for almost a decade from 2007 to 2015.

So these are informative years for Coach Mike Norvell.

He learned a ton about football from Todd Graham. And Todd Graham he maybe one of his biggest claims to famous is coaching tree

something that he as you'll hear coming up in the podcast he takes a ton of

pride in his in his coaching tree.

Guys like Gus Malzan, Chad Morris, Billy Napier,

there are a few others as well.

Some guys have gone on to be head coaches

in addition to the ones I just mentioned.

But Mike Norvell is you're going to hear someone who really stands out to Coach Graham,

someone who he values very much so as an evaluator, as a recruiter, and just a football mind in general.
