Over the weeks and months we have preached the Word of God on all kinds of issues related

to the conditions in which we live here in this country and in our world.

But this Sunday, as we come together to celebrate the Holy Spirit,

Sunday as we come together to celebrate the Lord's death, I want us to focus on the

cross of Christ.

I want everyone who is here to understand the gospel in depth.

I know that we can assume that you have a certain amount of knowledge of the gospel.

That's why you're here.

If you're a believer you have enough knowledge of the gospel to have been redeemed.

But I also know that there are depths and riches in the gospel that are very often overlooked.

It is a profound reality that Christ came to die and to rise again for our salvation.

And this morning I want to address that reality from the third chapter of Romans.
