Hey, Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the Noose Bend News Wednesday, October 50, 2022.

Stand up for your country. I don't think there are two more opposite politicians in this

0:23.9

country than President Biden and Governor DeSantis of Florida. You probably agree with that, right?

0:30.6

Not a lot of common ground there in anything. Progressive left is Biden. Traditional conservative

0:40.4

dissentists. Anyway, they came together today and that is a subject of this evening's talking

0:46.7

points memo. As you know, Lee County, that's Fort Myers, Naples area down in the southwest western

0:52.8

port of Florida, devastated by Hurricane Ian. It's almost impossible to describe how many

0:58.7

people had their lives uprooted. More than 100 dead from Ian. Billions and billions and billions

1:05.8

of dollars in damage. And it is just one of those things where nothing anybody can do. It's not

1:16.4

global warming. People try to use it for that kind of purpose and political purposes. It's just

1:23.4

foolish. It's human suffering. And when that happens, the federal and state governments have

1:29.4

to come together, try to alleviate the suffering. So that's what we saw today in Florida. They both

1:34.7

did their jobs today. Biden did his job and DeSantis did his job. And the federal government will kick

1:41.0

in about 100 million maybe more in funds to help the state of Florida. The private insurance

1:47.2

agencies are going to be on the hook for about 65 billion maybe more. And then there are all kinds

1:54.9

of private charities and this and that. In about three years, I hope it's faster, but at about

2:02.1

three years, I think Fort Myers really devastated. Things will be back to relative normal,

2:07.6

but there will be other storms, all right, and other catastrophes. And that is nature. It's always

2:15.0

been that way. It doesn't matter how many windmills you put up, how many solar panels you put up,

2:20.8

this is always going to take place. So I don't have any beef at all about the political component

2:28.5

with Biden and DeSantis. I hope the bureaucracy in Florida and in DC works well for the people.

2:36.6

Here in New York, Storm Sandy, some people never even recovered from that. I got a lot of
