Ash Vandale is away this week. She is actually working the broadcast for the race at

Pike's Peak, which is very exciting. But today, we have a very special guest host. The one,

the only, Marissa Tandon. If you don't know Marissa Tandon, she is an incredibly

talented sports content creator. And before we get started, Marisa, why you just give us a quick, like, bio of who you are and how you got into covering motor sport and sports in general?

Yeah, of course. Well, thanks for having me, James. It's always fun to hang out with you. And while I'm sad that Ash isn't here, I'm excited to be here with you.

So I, my name's Marissa. I started following, started covering sports in general after I worked

in television. We had a big old strike that happened where we weren't allowed to talk about

TV or film or anything. And I was, in fact, losing my mind. So instead of doing that,

I started talking about sports. And I found that the people that were following kind of my journey

with television and fandom were also really excited to learn about sports. I played sports my whole life.

I grew up playing basketball in particular, followed everything.

And when it comes to motorsports in Formula One,

I got into that because my best friend from childhood was like,

did you know that 20 guys meet up every Sunday and drive really fast?

And I was like, I did not know know that but you've piqued my interest

and so I started watching Formula One as well which then got me into other motorsports and shared

that with a lot of people online and found that people wanted kind of a non-judgmental place to

ask questions and learn about sports in general and And so motor sports fits into that really well.

Of course. Yeah. And I love your videos. I think you, first of all, your output is incredible.

You are prolific. You are constantly turning out videos. You try to like stay on top of headlines like as they come out.
