Summary

For the final episode of the Business of Community series, I want to break down one of the foundational elements of building community as part of your brand. I often get questions about strategy and action steps, but your personal growth journey is equally, if not more, important than having a gameplan.

You need to become the type of leader who naturally attracts the people who can really benefit from being in your community. In this episode, I explain the top three factors that have served me in the process of stepping into the best version of myself and how that journey supports the growth of Powerhouse Women.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Why working on your personal development and leadership skills is crucial for the success of your community
  • How to build more trust in yourself
  • Exploring the deeper fears and limiting beliefs that drive your patterns
  • Dedicating time to learning and self-enrichment
  • My simple litmus test for deciding on where I invest in myself

We are rounding out the Business of Community series that we've been doing here on the podcast,

0:06.6

and today's episode is really, I would almost say, the most important one.

0:11.0

But I started with strategy because I know how much we all love strategy.

0:15.7

We all want to know, okay, how do I do this?

0:19.1

And it's the number one question I get asked, especially when people

0:22.7

see our events or they see our masterminds and the connection that exists between the people

0:29.6

in this community. The number one question I hear is, how did you do it? What did you do? What are the

0:36.5

exact actions that you took? And while I'm super

0:39.9

excited to dive into a lot more strategy within the mastermind, the thing that I'm even more

0:45.6

excited to talk about and to really give everyone, and I'm going to give you a preview of it

0:50.3

here, is really the question I wish more people asked me, which is instead of asking,

0:57.4

what did you do? Like, what are the actions you took? I wish more people asked, who did you

1:04.4

need to become in order to create the results that you have? Because the truth is that I could give someone the

1:12.3

exact roadmap of everything I've done from step one to 1,000 to create the powerhouse

1:19.0

women community, this incredible community of like-minded, engaged women to create that foundation for a very, very profitable business and a

1:31.8

huge impact. But if I gave you the exact same strategy, it's not going to look exactly

1:37.8

the same when implemented in your business because you are the X factor. And you are the thing that's the most valuable asset that you have is to really grow yourself.

1:52.6

If you continue investing in that asset, you, your growth, your mindset, how you show up as a leader.

1:59.4

That will ultimately have such a powerful ripple effect into your

2:03.2

community and your business. So today we're going to talk about exactly that. How do you actually

2:08.4

become a more magnetic leader? Because here's the deal. Business requires leadership.

2:17.0

Community requires leadership.
