And now onto tonight's story.

We were coming from a rave, a pair of two college girls drunk and boisterous, Bri had to call

an uber several times, but none ever came, so he sat, and we waited for the bus.

Did he run this late?

I asked.

The fog made it seem like we'd be stranded, like the city's endless.

Sure girl, I've been out way after 330 sometimes, she giggled.

The streets were empty, say for the two of us, and it's almost uncanny how quiet everything

is.

As the long stillness stretched out, I fidgeted, a bit of drink working its way through

my system, as I saw two bold bright headlights pierced the nest.

There's our ride, Bri said, making me jolt from the bench to the brake shriek to a halt

in front of us.

It's bold red paint, resemble the taint of blood as we boarded the empty vehicle.
