Welcome back. A few episodes ago, I covered everything going on with the blind side and the Tui family and Michael or well the Tui's responded in the media quite shortly after that all went down in August, but now we are in mid-September and they are responding in court.

But that is not the only recent court filing. So today we are going to go over the Tui's response to Michael or his petition to terminate the conservatorship and for an accounting and we're going to go over a demand from Michael or for an accounting for those of you that have followed my coverage of the Britney Spears conservatorship, you will know what a big deal these conservatorship accountings can be.

No accounting has ever been done in this conservatorship. It seems that from the entire court file on the conservatorship that very little was done after the conservatorship was instigated. It was started, it was formed, but then nothing ever happened. Not an accounting, not a filing, nothing. It was formed and then it just sat there. So we will take a look at all of that today and I'll give a brief recap of how we got here.

So for those of you that didn't watch the last or listen to the last podcast episode on this topic. I'm going to give a brief road so far. Michael or is a professional football player who's retired. He was a college football player and the subject of the movie.

He was a blindside with Sandra Bullock. His adopted family is how they had been called in the media who they say treated him like a son that to ease never actually adopted him and then court filings in August 2023.

For or made a lot of allegations against the two ease that they took advantage of him by placing him into a conservatorship instead of adopting him that he believed that he was adopted that they sold his story and made money off of it and he doesn't know what else they used his name and rights for.

There were a lot of questions about what happened with representation through CAA, which is a very large representation agency that reps a lot of the biggest names in Hollywood and then everything else that's going on with this.

Why wasn't there an accounting. Why did Michael or not know what was going on. Were they selling the rights to his name and likeness.

And then there were some other questions about it with were they selling the rights to his name and likeness because he published several books. He seems to have also talked about his story.

There's no indication that any of those things had been blocked. So heartbreaking allegations made by Michael or about the conservatorship and not adoption.

And then shortly thereafter we saw the two e family firing back in the media, alleging that Michael or was trying to shake them down their words to the media in a statement from their attorney for $15 million and that he had threatened to plant negative stories about them in the media if they did not acquiesce to that request.

And that is where the court proceedings find us now. The first filing I'm going to get into is a motion to compel the accounting. Remember Michael to his motion was not just for a termination of the conservatorship, which seems that it will be easy to do the two e family has said in the media that they have no objection to ending the conservatorship and it seems that no one's actually acting as if this conservatorship is active.

No one's interceding and stopping him from contracting on his own or stopping him from living his life really. So that part shouldn't be hard.

The accounting I think is going to be much more interesting because getting to the heart of what happened with these contracts regarding the movie the blind side is something I'm very interested in.

I hope you're very interested in it too. You have to let me know because I'm very curious were the rights to his name and likeness sold without his authorization.

I that's a very big allegation and a very potentially big problem.
