Of the names of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the name Al-Karim.

And in fact this name of Allah it can be said that it was the first name that Allah informed us through the Qur'an.

Because in the first revelation, Iqqara, the first name that Allah chose to announce to us through the revelation of the Qur'an

was the name Al-Akram, which is of course the superlative of Qarim, Qarim and Akram.

And the notion of Qarim or Qarim in the Arabic language, it implies generosity with a, when we say,

speak of human beings, generosity with a generous spirit as well.

Because you see you can be generous outwardly and inwardly you are suffering.

Why did I give? That's not Qarim.

The Qarim is the one who gives outward and inward, that's the Qarim.

This is the definition of Ibn Misqawe, one of the great Rulama of Adab in our tradition.

Ibn Misqawe said, the Qarim in the Arabic language is the one who gives for good causes freely without having any

change in his heart without feeling a pinching. Why did I do that?

No, the Qarim has to be from the heart and from the hands.

Then you are called Qarim and you give freely for that which is beneficial to mankind with your heart being generous as well.

So when Allah is al-Qarim, of course, when Allah, as the wajah, describes himself with any name, the reality is beyond our understanding.

We understand the concept. Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, gives and he gives because his nature is the nature of giving.

And he gives because he loves being generous and the Qarim means no one can be more generous than Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

So Allah, is al-Qarim and Allah, is al-Qarim and Allah, describes Jibril as being Qarim.

So Allah, describes Jibril as being the Qarim messenger.

And in another verse, Rasul Qarim is a reference to our prophet, so the Prophet is also Qarim.

So Allah, is al-Qarim and Jibril is Qarim and the Prophet is Qarim and then the Qur'an itself.
