Summary

Three of the country’s premier experts in national security -- Frank Figliuzzi, Malcolm Nance, and Juliette Kayyem—in frank, unmediated discussion about the new threats to the nation heading into the 2020 election.  The Russian intervention in 2016 presents a sinister, existential hazard that calls for the same kind of paradigm shift in homeland security that the 2001 attacks required in intelligence.  And the Administration’s hostility to career professionals makes the threats that more keen. feds dive into a completely unmediated discussion as they really might do on their own.

1:34.8

And it made sense to do this for a subject matter for which I'd be somewhat out of my depth

1:39.4

and play less of a host role anyway.

1:43.4

So here today you have the perfect solution.

1:46.9

Today's episode focuses on national security and a discussion among three of the countries

1:54.6

most knowledgeable and experienced former officials all known well to podcast and TV audiences.

2:02.3

So we are extremely fortunate for this experimental talking feds to have first Frank Figley-Uzi
