And that kind of got me thinking.

I thought, you know, we've gotten a lot of followers from that and some other things recently.

And that got me thinking that a lot of these new people, welcome, if you're one of these new people,

who are listening to the podcast for the first time or joined

the podcast in 2024 and have heard the great conversations that we've had this year.

We really had a lot of fantastic conversations over the years. I've done 946 episodes now.

And of those, I've had some of the greatest conversations ever. I've learned a ton about myself.

I've learned a ton about what it took for all these other people to achieve the success that they have.

And I've loved to be able to share that with you. And I wanted to do a best of show today.

And that's what we're getting ready to do. Go back to revisit some of those conversations and revisit some of the things that I found

the most interesting or most profound about those conversations. So here we go.

How Bill Dance became America's favorite fisherman, episode 10.

After about a year, he said, doing the same thing.

He said, we need a television show.

And I said, okay, I think that's good. I've got the perfect guy to do it. So this is 1968? And now this was around that same time, 70, around 70.

He said, you got the perfect guy for us to do it? And said I sure do and this guy we were rooming together

fishing the tournaments together and he was I wouldn't be doing TV today if it wasn't for this guy

and he said who's that and I said Jerry McKinnis and he said McKinness and he said McKinness and I said

yep Jerry and I have been traveling together I've been helping Jerry
