Well, it's Friday, September 12th, 2025. We're still trying to sit here, sort through,

and sift through the disbelief. And as I'm recording this, late on Thursday evening,

they still have not named a person of interest, this much less caught the assassin of Charlie Kirk. And that

still remains to be the only story of import around the country. It was announced yesterday morning.

It seemed as if the investigation was going a lot faster than we were being told when we went to

bed on Wednesday evening,

and the pace of information slowed down yesterday.

There was a report that local officials had delayed a press conference because of some late-breaking

information, and that press conference never really came about.

It was scheduled for, I think, 1245 local time or something like that,

and it kind of just got delayed and delayed and pushed off into nowhere. So thank you for

listening this week on the AM update. And it's not a week any of us wanted to happen or to live

through. Just an utter, utter gut punch.

This isn't really going to be much of a typical episode again today, because there's

only one story that really matters.

And I want to give a shout out to Stephen Crowder as well.

That he published internal communications from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms

via a source that he has.

And this internal memo from ATF stated that the shooter's gun had been recovered.

And again, this is all unfolding yesterday morning.

The shooter's gun had been recovered, and ammunition still unspent ammo within the weapon.

It was a 30-0-06 Mouser, I believe.
