From Mimpiart Music and All Songs Considered, I'm Lars Gotrich, it's the best music of the

0:05.8

Muncho. Let's start off with the mountain goats.

Be on your place alone, in a world of heavy footprints beyond tracable.

I am here with Stephen Thompson, hey Stephen, hello Lars and Barissa the Russo, and

powers. Hello to all of my friends. And for the first time, one of All Songs

Considered Mimpiart Music's brand new hip hop in RMB editor Sheldon Pierce, welcome to the show.

We are discussing the best albums released in August. Bleed Out is the 21st album by the

1:37.4

mountain goats 21. It was produced by Alicia Boniano, best known as the singer, producer and guitarist

2:14.4

end themic quality. And over time, the mountain goats formed into a full band and got really polished.

2:20.7

And a lot of his albums started to take on more conceptual quality. He would do an album about D&D

2:26.7

or an album about Goths or an album. Just these different high concept albums. But the songs

2:32.7

had this really stately quality that to me squashed their power a little bit. I think the

2:39.6

addition of Alicia Bagnano as the producer, I first of all, I love Bowie. Check out Bowie's

2:44.0

records if you haven't heard him. She allows this band to be end themic again. The concept behind

2:49.8

this record is called Bleed Out. The concept is that each of these songs is inspired by an action

2:55.0

movie. And each song kind of plays out like an action movie. And thematically, if there's a lot
