Summary
Today I’m going to share the best remedies to help stop teeth grinding at night.
Grinding your teeth can lead to issues like:
• Excessive wearing of the teeth
• Teeth pain
• Headaches
• Jaw spasms
People who smoke, drink alcohol, or take SSRIs have a higher risk of teeth grinding (bruxism).
There are a few things involved in teeth grinding at night, but it seems to be largely related to the autonomic nervous system.
Bruxism is also associated with a certain variation in genetics. The gene involved is the receptor gene for serotonin. If you have this variation, you’ll have to work harder to increase the precursors of serotonin to help build it up.
Bruxism can also be triggered by various things, including:
• Stress events
• Trauma
• Excess caffeine consumption
The best natural remedies for teeth grinding:
1. Vitamin B1 (nutritional yeast)
2. Vitamin D3

| 0:33.3 | Okay, so there's a new term I want to talk about what's called rhythmic, masticatory muscle activity. |
| 0:42.1 | Well, that's just a medical term that describes what happens when you grind your teeth. |
| 0:46.3 | Masticatory has to do with the muscles involved with chewing your food. |
| 0:50.3 | And of course, the term rhythmic means this regular set pattern or wave of something. |
| 0:57.2 | There's a couple things involved. |
| 0:58.9 | One is related to the autonomic nervous system. |
| 1:02.3 | Apparently, right before you start to do this at night, there's an activation of this |
| 1:06.4 | autonomic nervous system in this transition phase that affects the heart. Apparently the heart is |
| 1:12.6 | involved. You start getting an increase in impulse rate, which is interesting. Okay, what's up with that? |
| 1:18.3 | Well, both of those are involved with the autonomic nervous system, that system that works on automatic |
| 1:23.7 | and it controls a lot of different parts of your body. Well, less than a second before |
| 1:28.6 | this occurs, 0.8 seconds to be exact, you have the stimulation or the increasing tone of your |
