where she works with soil and seasons, putting taste of variety and beauty first.

She originally sold her beautiful produce for years in London, but now she collaborates with

Sky Gingale at her restaurant's spring and produces cut flowers and veg boxes for private

customers.

So many things to talk about.

I read your book, Fern Vero.

I don't know, when was it?

About eight years ago, did it come out?

I remember it was one of those books that sort of really hit the juggler of everybody. And I knew of you from much earlier on in the 80s because I think that you were

a founder of Neal's Yard Dairy. And it was one of those places before, in a way, cheese became so sort of trendy, in a funny way,

you were way up there way earlier.

Will you tell us just briefly sort of what took you from Niels Yard to Firm Vero?

At the dairy, we travelled all over the country, visiting farms and collecting cheese. I mean, it was, you know,

literally in a Toyota high-o span for weeks and weeks and weeks before, there would be any

couriers that would deliver anything. So every six weeks we go up north, every three weeks we go
