For our second Halloween month episode, I want to share a historical moment that I've been

interested in since 2011 when I first heard the story on the podcast, Monster Talk.

This incident really happened, and the legends that grew up around it began while the story

was still taking place in 1764 in France.

It's a tale full of fear and violence and surrounds a creature known only as La Bette, the beast

of Jevodon.

This episode does include discussions of the deaths of children and teenagers by wolf attacks

and the hunting and killing of wolves.
