in the world have experienced as much grief throughout its

220 year history as Haiti which celebrated its anniversary of independence on

New Year's Day of this year. However, that independence has been very, very much under question

over the entire time Haiti has existed because apparently the United States and the West,

Europe, we're very unhappy about the slave uprising that overthrew French occupiers

which led to the creation of Haiti.

For the US in the West, Haiti is an embarrassment that reveals a long history of white supremacy imposed upon not only the Haitian people but throughout the Americas and frankly the entire world.

In fact, the establishment press in the US would rather you, or they, not mention Haiti at all.

Whether it was Chile and their democratically elected Salvador Yundi, who was overthrown in a U.S. back coup that propped up an authoritarian for decades,

or the war in Vietnam, or Iraq, or the Second War in Iraq or Afghanistan.

The U.S. has attempted to force its capitalism skewed a brand of democracy upon others down the

barrel of a gun and then impose a government not selected by the people, but instead chosen by U.S. leaders back in Washington.

What is left behind is not democracy of any sort.

Instead, it's what our guest describes as an aid state wherever it exists.

And I know that my list of coups only went back to the overthrow of Salvadorienday,

and that there are dozens and dozens more.
