Lord, God, as we look at this issue of the battle that is going on in our minds, we ask you to

illuminate us, to give us insight and direction that we have not previously known, that we can

change, we can transform, we can be set free

in the ways that you intend. We ask in Jesus' name, amen. Okay, Romans 7 is a classic passage

in the scriptures where the apostle Paul is describing his own battle to live consistently

with the faith he professes and the transformation that

Jesus has made in his own life. He says in Romans 7 verse 22, I delight in the law of God in my

inner being. Now pause for a moment. Doesn't that describe you? As a believer in Jesus Christ,

you delight in God's

ways. You want what God wants in your life, right? Amen? Paul describes himself that way. But he says in

23, but I see in my members, that means his body, his earthly body, I see in my members another law, waging war against the

law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
