Summary

Hey B+BU Fam!

We're on a podcast break for the month of December, but I couldn’t wait to share this episode with you. As we wrap up the year and focus on cultivating a deeper connection with God, this conversation will challenge and inspire you to create an atmosphere of Him in your daily life.

Episode Highlights:

  • God’s Word for Anxiety: Tatum reflects on a recent revelation from God: the antidote to anxiety is to create an atmosphere of Him. What does this mean in practice, and how can we cultivate that atmosphere in our lives?
  • Omnipresence vs. Manifestation of His Presence: Dive into the difference between God always being with us (omnipresence) and experiencing His undeniable, manifested presence.
  • Joy as Awareness of Grace: Learn how joy is rooted in being aware of God’s unmerited favor and how this perspective can shift your focus.
  • Practical Steps to Cultivate God’s Atmosphere: Tatum breaks it down into three areas we can control:
  1. What We Consume: How our physical, mental, and spiritual consumption affects our environment.
  2. What We Focus On: Tips to focus on God, even when life feels overwhelming.
  3. Who We Communicate With: The importance of communicating with God, even when His presence feels distant.

Mentioned in This Episode:

  • Scripture References: Philippians 4:6, James 1:2, and the definition of joy and faith from the Bible.
  • Personal Testimonies: Tatum shares her journey of trusting God during a difficult season of miscarriages and how it strengthened her faith.
  • Practical Tips: From cleaning up your diet to listening to prophetic instrumentals, discover ways to make God the focal point in your life.
