Atheists are often asked, why do you care in reference to claims of a God's existence, and in reference to commands from holy books?

Well, I do care, and here's why.

If you believe in a God, it is reasonable to believe that men are superior to everybody else, and therefore you advocate for systematic inequalities.

If you believe in a God, it's reasonable to believe that homosexuality is a sin,

and you therefore may work to limit the rights of others. If you believe in a God, it is reasonable

to believe that evolution is false, and therefore, you may advocate for teaching intelligent

design, young earth creationism, and other pseudosciences in the classroom. If you believe in a God,

it's reasonable to believe that skepticism is bad and that you may

blindly follow some immoral book which not only harms you, but harms others.
