Today I'm going to read you one of the most disgusting verses in the Quran.

Verse 24 from chapter 4.

But to understand what is going on in this verse, I first have to start from verse 23, then we'll get to verse 24.

So in verse 23, Allah lists the people you're not allowed to have sex with.

So here it goes.

Prohibited to you are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters,

your mother's sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters, your milk mothers.

And it keeps going like that for a while.

I'm not going to bore you with the rest of it.

It's just a big list, right?

So that's verse 23.

Now let's go to verse 24.

And this is where things get really weird and disgusting.

Remember the context.

The context is that Allah is listening, the people that you are not allowed to have sex with.

This is how verse 24 now picks up and continues, right?

And also prohibited to you are all married woman except, wait a minute, what just happened?

Except, except God is allowing you to have sex with certain women who are already married

to other men?

What is this exception?

So let's read this whole thing in full, right?

And also prohibited to you are married women except those your right hand possesses, meaning slaves or war captives.
