dare to share.

I'm Kevin Allison, and every Thursday we release these special episodes where we look

back at content from our earlier years.

Sometimes single stories, sometimes whole episodes, keep in mind that years ago people might

have awarded things differently than they would today.

As always, the title of the whole series, Risk, is itself a content warning.

This week we're revisiting a story that Ernest Anfin first shared on the podcast in February

of 2021.

It's a story we call the All American.

Now I do have to warn folks that there is harm that comes to animals in this story.

I wanted to rerun it now so that Taj Easton, who recently recorded a story on a similar

theme on an episode called Mercy, both stories have to do with how these men learned something

about their own capacity for cultivating compassion.

I thought it would be interesting if the two of them over on Patreon had a conversation

about these two stories.
