To Kumi Minamino opened the scoring at Selhurst Park last weekend as Liverpool capped off an exceptional

few days with an emphatic 7 nil win over Crystal Palace. That goal was the first

the Japanese has netted in the Premier League after 18 appearances.

So could that be the catalyst to kick-star his Liverpool career?

And how should he reflect on his first 12 months as a Redman since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg.

Joe, it's been a difficult first year at Anfield for Min Amino,

but have you sort of started to see signs now that you could be settling and could be ready to sort of kick on.

Yeah, I thought the Crystal Palace performance was one of, if not its best performance

in a Liverpool shared.

He took the goal really, really well.

I mean, I think it's almost been forgotten in a in a game which

which Liverpool's called seven goals a lot of wonderful goals for me knows one

Salas and Henderson's ball highlights but that opener was a really good goal it was a great

touch and finish lots of composure from Minamino so you know I thought that was a really

good sign and look it's going to be difficult for him. I think any player coming into

to Liverpool's front three is going to find life difficult because your chances are always

limited. But I think we've seen some good signs. As you say, it's been a difficult year for him because look how many players will have

you know signed for a club and then at the year like that, you know, going into lockdown and by all the county living in the

Liverpool City Center alone it must have been a pretty lonely existence for
