Yeah, really good, really entertaining game, slightly frustrating at times this afternoon

for Liverpool, but I think it's a big statement that they just kept going and kept

sort of battling away really I think is the right way of putting it and

they fully deserve the points again but for the second successive weekend it's been you know a one-ill

it's been not a resounding win that we've seen at times this season, but yeah, like I say, they battled, they fought for it and absolutely fully deserved it, really. I'm sure we're going to go into much more detail on the game itself but we have to start with the man of the occasion

what was the repetition like in Anfield on his arrival?

I lost my words there bit there.

Yeah, no it was always going to be an interesting one I think.

I know he tried to play it down, didn't he going into the game he didn't want it to be

about him he wanted to sort of keep the sort of talking points on the pitch

really but that was never really going to be the case was it it was always

going to be Stephen Gerard's Aston Villa that's how they're going to be referred to most

weeks but certainly when he's coming back to Anfield with them. Yeah, I'm sure it would have been stranger

for him than he let on. There was a little sort of smattering of applause at the start.
