Welcome to the British History Podcast. My name is Jamie and this is the Acovanic Beaker

Barrel project, the Beaker people with Dr. Allison Sheridan. Today we're talking to Dr.

0:16.5

Allison Sheridan from the National Museum of Scotland. And we were really lucky to get

0:21.0

to do a Skype interview with her and she's one of the premier people to speak to about

0:25.0

Neolithic and Bronze Age sites in Britain. As you'll soon discover, we were a little

0:30.1

1:19.7

Alright, here we go.

1:22.1

Okay, I'm Dr. Alison Sheridan and I'm principal curator of early prehistory at National Museum

Scotland. And my Bayley Week is Europe north of the Alps from the Paleolithic to the end

of the Bronze Age. But my own research speciality is the Neolithic, Celtolithic and early Bronze

1:40.2

Age period in Britain and Ireland. And I also look after the human remains store of the

National Museum Scotland. And this contains rather a lot of skeletons of the same period

as the Achjavani Khan. So let's start back with where listeners, what they know. How did
