Today we are taking a look at an entire era, an entire era of comics.

It's the 90s and the nine controversies that defined the 90s. Was it image comic books? Was it the death

of Superman? Was it Jim Lee selling his company and joining DC Comics? Was it Marvel's bankruptcy?

Trust me, there's so many to choose from. We had a real hard time here, whittling it down to just nine.

But we kick off our countdown to the nine controversies that defined, that shaped, that shook

the 90s on an all new episode of Robeservations.

We have been marching for three and a half,

three and three-quarters years through this podcast,

talking comics,

talking comics, talking comic book superheroes, the actual comics with the staples,

as well as the big screen blockbuster adaptations, the streaming, the cartoons, the games,

the action figures.

We honestly don't talk enough about the action figures as I'm looking at a sea of action figures when I record this show and when I broadcast and speak into this mic, I am looking at a Batman

Beyond, a Jack Kirby's Orion figure, a Jack Kirby Light Ray figure, a cable from X-Force X-Men, a, it's a prototype from an

unproduced action figure.

My dad called him dolls.

He would, you know, shock me with that lightning bolt of shame. You play with

dolls again, Robbie? So, and he didn't mean it like a dick. He just was like, they make dolls

for boys now? Yes, father. Giant Deadpool statue, Lady Deadpool statue, and two action figures from the Mondo X-Men animated series Wolverine.
