| 0:00.0 | Hey, everyone. This is Dorenda, and I want to welcome you to this week's podcast. I'm so grateful that you |
| 0:19.9 | decided to spend this time with me. I'm excited to be sharing |
| 0:23.6 | with you today some things that I have learned over the years. You know, it's been 24 years |
| 0:29.9 | since we embarked, our family embarked on this homeschooling journey. And since we had eight kids, |
| 0:37.1 | I'm still homeschooling the last few, |
| 0:39.8 | but there are three things that I have learned that I think every homeschool mom should know, |
| 0:46.1 | regardless of where she is on this pilgrimage. Before I get started with that, I just want to |
| 0:53.0 | introduce myself in case you are a new listener. |
| 0:56.1 | I have been married to Daryl for almost 30 years. We have eight kids. They are ages 28, down to 14, |

| 1:59.8 | three things that I've just gone back to over and over and over again, that I think are worth mentioning and worth talking to and diving into a little bit. |
| 2:12.8 | If you have not checked out my simple, mercifully short book on homeschooling, I encourage you to go to |
| 2:19.3 | Amazon and check it out. You know, it's one of those things where I never intended to write a book. |
| 2:25.1 | It was my husband's suggestion. I thought he was kidding. I even laughed when he mentioned it. |
| 2:30.1 | But eventually, the words kind of sunk in and the idea sort of made its way into my heart |
| 2:37.2 | and the Lord led me to write this little book. |
