Summary

There's a lot to be said for hindsight. Our 6th will be graduating in June. The homeschooling finish line is in sight and the process has taught me so much, but in this podcast, I am sharing what I believe to be the 3 most important things that I've learned over the last two decades. From early on in our journey I remember hearing things that I would often "tuck in my hat", realizing that these were nuggets of truth that I may need later on. As the years unfolded, there were defining moments in our homeschooling journey where I recognized a truth that I also tucked away. I am sharing many of these with you today, praying that you will find your homeschool mom heart filled up to overflowing! 0:23.6	with you today some things that I have learned over the years. You know, it's been 24 years
0:29.9	since we embarked, our family embarked on this homeschooling journey. And since we had eight kids,
0:37.1	I'm still homeschooling the last few,
0:39.8	but there are three things that I have learned that I think every homeschool mom should know,
0:46.1	regardless of where she is on this pilgrimage. Before I get started with that, I just want to
0:53.0	introduce myself in case you are a new listener.
0:56.1	I have been married to Daryl for almost 30 years. We have eight kids. They are ages 28, down to 14,
1:05.7	five boys and three girls, not in that order. We have our sixth grandbaby due in June, and like I said before,
1:14.7	we are 24 years into our homeschooling journey. Now, a lot of people would say, oh, that must
1:22.7	make you a professional, and I just, I'm always telling moms, no. I am a mom just like you, who still has to get up
1:30.4	every morning and ask for wisdom and pray for grace and pray for mercy as I continue to finish out
1:39.4	this homeschooling journey. I want to finish well. And there are challenges that come with every season,
1:46.0	with every child that are unique to anything else we've faced before. So it's a constantly
1:51.8	ongoing lesson in all kinds of different things. But today I'm going to be talking about
1:59.8	three things that I've just gone back to over and over and over again, that I think are worth mentioning and worth talking to and diving into a little bit.
