It's no doubt about it.

We're heading into a contentious presidential election year.

While there are several ongoing global conflicts to be

concerned about, Americans have their plates full with concerns here at home.

What are the hot topics going to be in the new year? Here to help me dig into it is USA Today National Correspondent Philip M Bailey.

So let's start with the two front runners for the 2024 presidential election.

The most likely scenario at this point is it's going to be a rematch.

How are the voters feeling about that?

Well, look, I mean, there's a lot that could happen, a lot of hypotheticals that could be thrown

into the mix here, but if you look at the polls and what most prognosticators think as of now looks like the President Joe Biden

and former President Donald Trump will likely have a 2020 rematch.

I can tell you, most Americans aren't jazzed about a 2020 rematch, no matter their political leanings or the issues they care about the most.
