Welcome to the audible presented by Trader Joe's. I'm Stuart Mandel joined as always by Bruce Feldman. We are, it is August, we are ready to start going twice a week here on the audible and there's a lot to talk about here on this first episode of the week in a little bit.

Our good friend Connor Stallions is back in the news in Michigan and NCA investigation we're going to get into that.

And Bruce's Freaks list is here, 2024 edition, certainly want to get into that.

But first, very timely, very convenient way to start talking about the season. The

preseason coaches bowl came out on Monday. Let's hit it up real quick. The top five

number one Georgia number two Ohio State, number three

Oregon, number four Texas, number five Alabama. I don't think there's any big surprises

there, but what is it, you know, what's your immediate reaction when you kind of finally see it in print?

The only thing that surprised me a little, stew was, and you didn't say this part but it was 46 first place votes for Georgia, seven for Ohio State,

one for Texas and one for Michigan who actually came in at 8th.

I think I was a little surprised at Ohio State,

maybe didn't have more first place votes.

I mean, it's a big disparity.

It's basically, it's know six and a half times

what Georgia got but look Georgia's dominated the SEC the only thing is as you and I've talked

to a decent amount about on this this off season.

George has got a pretty rough schedule. I mean I still think they'll get to the

playoff notwithstanding but you know maybe that's a reflection of just what Kirby Smart has been able to do there and it's also probably a reflection of Michigan even at even out, Jim Harball, we'll get more to Michigan in a little bit, but Michigan,

having beaten them three times in a row.

Well, I don't think the coaches, the coaches, not the AP voters, and I don't think the coaches the coaches not the AP voters and I don't think the coaches are

dissecting schedules at this point. I'm just looking kind of over the list of coaches here. Everybody from

David Braun at Northwestern, Neil Brown, West Virginia, Mike Houston, East Carolina, I'm just saying random names here.
