Today, I get to tell you a story, a real-life event of someone that I met just a few weeks ago

who has made an enormous impression in my life, and I think he may make a difference for you as well.

His name is Patrick, and he came to attend our Sunday morning assembly not long ago.

He's in his early 60s, and he came with his wife, Lisa, and they sat there in the back.

Afterwards, I had a chance to go and meet them, learn a little bit about them.

They're from the Midwest, the Upper Midwest, and they had moved here fairly recently.

He was very insistent that he wanted to study the Bible with someone. He said, over the last

two years, I've been digging into scriptures, I need some help, I want to be baptized,

I need a relationship with Jesus, and we need a church home.

So obviously, I was very excited by this, and I went over to the shelf, and I grabbed a booklet

that we call the gospel message. It's a four-lesson booklet that helps people learn how to

become a Christian and what the church is all about.

And I gave him two copies of that booklet. And I said, hey, would you mind just taking a look

at lesson one, a few pages, and here's my phone number, and you just give me a call this week,
