We have arrived at a very crucial part of the history's book of Acts.

Chapters 23 through 28 essentially are about Paul's journey to Rome.

Now, the Lord had promised Paul that he was going to send him to Rome.

We have looked in detail for the past several weeks at the way Paul

was completely open to the Lord's plan. And Paul's friends at virtually every juncture tried to stop

him. Don't go here. They said, if you go here, there are people waiting to kill you. Don't go there.

Don't do this. Don't do this.

Don't do that.

Because if you do, they're going to tie you up and throw you in jail.

You're going to be bound.

Even prophets like Agaba said, don't go, Paul, don't go.

And Paul says, I'm going, I'm going.

The Lord promised Paul that his journey would not be in vain. Now, we are in Acts 24 right now, and last week we had seen how the Jews had brought up a special man. He's called

an orator. He is essentially legal counsel, elevated by the

Jews, to present a case to Felix, who is a Roman governor, whose rule is regulated by the Royal House of Rome.

And so here we've come to a stage where Paul's preaching,

his teaching, is now reaching right into the Royal House back in Rome.
