0:41.0	I'm joined by Madison Wade, anchor and reporter at ABC10 in Sacramento. Madison, before we get into
0:47.4	what happened to Alan Olvera two decades ago, what do we know about him? He was very beloved with
0:53.9	his family and also in the
0:55.3	Native American community. He was part of the Milwaukee tribe community in the Sacramento area.
1:01.4	He was very involved in the Sacramento Native American Caucus. He worked and spent much of his
1:05.9	free time giving back to younger kids who looked up to him, who wanted to further their education career.
1:13.6	He was involved in so many school programs.
1:16.6	He also delivered salmon to American Indian elders on the day before Thanksgiving every single year.
1:23.6	His young nephew at the time, Matthew Franklin, would often help him deliver the salmon.
1:29.3	And he was an activist.
1:30.3	He also participated in the American Indian takeover of Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay.
1:37.3	You know, a quote that just really stood out to me from someone who knew him really well was
1:41.3	Alan was very caring and nurturing person, great sense of humor,
1:45.4	and he really cared about other people.
